Ticket to Happiness started out as our pitch video for our Burning Man short film, "Hear Here Unicorn", but what we ended up with is also a beautiful short film.
In 2013, Starving Heartist created a mini documentary, "Seeds" which follows a non-profit organization, Seeds of Hope, as they stand up to the domestic and international human trafficking problem in Costa Rica.
This was Josh's first venture into film making and a trip down to Costa Rica inspired him to purchase a camera and make something that the organisation could use to spread awareness. So far the Video has raised Tens of thousands of Dollars for the cause.
In August 2015, Starving Heartists teamed up with Media house, The Sights and Sounds, to create a fictional Narrative filmed solely at Burning Man. Lost and Found, follows a first time burner as he navigates the Playa in search for hearing aid batteries. The project was successfully fundraised and shot and is set to release February 2016. For more information see splash page, Hear Here Unicorn (The project's working title)

< Our octocopter fitted with the Sony A7s is a devastating combo capable of incredible night flights. With the redundancy of 8 motors, this is one of the more stable flights you can get and is excellent for feature films and music videos. The Sony a7s is capable of Iso up to 400,000 and has close to 13.1 stops of dynamic range (more than GH4). Best yet, fitted with our shogun recorder, it's capable of capturing all this in 4K with 4:2:2 color and ProRes recording.
Atari is the name given to our first drone after we painted him a bright red color. Since then we have expanded with two more drones to our fleet, one medium size, Inspire 1 Pro and one larger size, DJI s1000 Octocopter.
Whether it's a Music Video, Indie Film, Sporting Event, Wedding, or Property Listing, we can accommodate lower budgets with our smaller drones.
Our GoPro hero 4, can shoot 4k video at 30fps and with a little bit of denoising and color grading, can work seamlessly into your music video or wedding album. Our set up time is under 5 minutes and with multiple batteries can stay in the air for an hour or more if need be.
The backcountry of Utah is quite a sight to see, even more so with our Inspire Pro X5. Shots taken during a month long shoot on set "Links Of Life". Set to debut in the international film markets in 2016.
These Bright colors were pulled out of our Go-Pro Hero 4 as we travelled thu Torrey Pines Utah. The magical thing was these trees are only brightly colored yellow for 2 weeks out of the year before turning red and falling off. We just happened to be passing thru.
Filmed with an Inspire 1 pro X5 Camera, these were filmed in 4k resolution following the picture car thru various back roads in Utah. The Final Spot is Dead Horse, a 2000 ft tall butte just outside Moab, UT.
